Meldick Farm History Meldick Farms is dedicated to the memories of Richard H. Swanson and Melvin C. Swanson, who established the farm in 1960. The farm was originally a family dairy farm that operated until 1993 when Richard retired from the dairy industry. The farm is still family owned and operated by Todd and Lori Swanson. In 2001 they began the efforts to convert the established dairy into a grass-based operation.  Details... Meldick Farms - Wild Flower Honey The fields of Meldick Farms hum with the tiniest of workers gathering nectar from the wild flowers to create one of nature's sweetest creations, honey. The honey comes from various flowers, white clover, golden rod, fruit tree blossoms, raspberry bushes, and blueberries. The bees are also instrumental in pollinating our son Preston's pumpkin patch.  Details... They eat goldenrod, blackberry briars, multifloral rose and plants that defy you to touch them they are so prickly. The goats love them. The kids are born in the spring as the weather starts to warm. When we start seeing kids it is a sure sign that spring is not far away. There are few things cuter than a kid skipping through the green pasture.
